Small acts of kindness in the workplace can spread, creating a monumental increase in respect.
Anyone at any level in an organization can show respect towards others.
Between employee to employee, management to management, or management to employee, the rules are the same.
Respect can increase the productivity level among employees.
It can increase employee engagement and job satisfaction.
There are tremendous outcomes when respect is present in a work place.
But, if you take respect out of the equation, everything falls.
Without respect, work is a burden.
A place where employees dread on going.
Rather than spit firing things that you want to say, hold your tongue. Don’t say something to some else that you’ll later regret. Being respectful entails that we are in control of our words.
Rather than being prideful, be empathetic. These are the people that you spend most of your day with. You should be able to support one another whether that’s through listening, assisting, or encouraging.
Better yet, follow the golden rule.
Treat others the way you would like to be treated.
Soon, work will become a blessing.
The ripple effect of respecting each other should take place and the amount of stress and conflicts should decrease.
Over time, productivity and collaboration should strengthen among staff, resulting in a better work environment.
