The word success has a lot of definitions attached. Some would define it as making it to the top of their profession, earning money, becoming famous, achieving awards, or acquiring power.
But what happens after one achieves all of those things and they aren’t happy; would you still call it success?
Another definition to add to the list would be happiness and enjoying what you do.
What if this person, after achieving all those things became arrogant and there was no one to celebrate with; would you still call it success?
Another definition to add to the list would be character and holding positive relationships with others.
Or, after achieving these things that one becomes stagnant; would you still call it success?
Another definition to add to the list would be continual growth and expansion upon progress.
Even if this person never achieves what they set out to do, would you call it success?
Afterall, one could have easily of quit, but they chose to give it a shot.
The point is that different things make us feel accomplished.
“There is no one definition of success. Everyone’s success is different. You can’t compare your success to someone else’s.”
Achievements are great, but they aren't the only thing that make someone ‘successful.’
