Our lives are hugely impacted by the people we surround ourselves with.
According to American entrepreneur Jim Rohn, “You are the average of the five people you spend the most time with."
Sure, it takes hard work, drive and determination to reach our goals, but it’s the people too who make a big difference.
For instance, a football player who wants to achieve success surrounds themselves with other likeminded people who too want to become better, not people who are a distraction.
People tend to impact the way we think, act and feel on a day-to-day basis. That’s why it’s important to be mindful of the company we keep.
With this in mind, ask yourself who those five people are in your life.
Are they uplifting? Supportive? Inspiring? Happy?
Or, are they narcissistic? Sarcastic? Moody?
Then, ask yourself how they make you feel after spending time with them.
For some, it might mean limiting the amount of time spent with a specific person and choosing to surround yourself with someone else.

Actively choosing who to surround yourself with – people who make you happy and who share your ambitions, consciously (and subconsciously) challenge us to be our best selves.
